Peruvian GDP grew 6.92% in 2011

Peruvian economy grew on 6.92% in 2011, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatic (INEI), the Peruvian version for Český statistický úřad.  The INEI said that this happened, mainly, because of the favorable performanceof the domestic demand.

Just in December, the Peruvian economy grew 5.96%, but the headline here is that Peru has accumulated 13 years of continuous growth.

The Construction sector grew 3.43% in 2011, while the trade sector and manufacturing sector advanced 8.82% and 5.56%.

Fishing , Mining and Hydrocarbons and Agriculture sectors recorded progresses of 29.7%, 4.19% and 3.78% respectively.

This year, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has estimated that the local economy would grow 5.5%.
